Everytime there is a poll like this, it is striking how people actually threatened by Russia are always more favorable to the US/UK. Meanwhile those who are relatively safe are more favorable to France / Germany
It’s not like Germany and France didn’t work hard for results like this. Both are slow to help, Germany is dependent on Russian gas, and France – well – I am not sure if anyone in Poland will ever trust France in military matters after 1939
I like how Brits have France as the lowest whilst the French usually place Brits with the rest of the pack in these kind of surveys.
The most important part that is overlooked here, is that everybody trusts the EU to make the right decisions.
But hey… we could of course use this research to yell at each other about how much we distrust other countries…
What’s up with the Spanish one there? They are all pretty low, but the UKs is obviously a lot but dont know why? and the score for the French is suprisingly low too
The baseless bigotry against Germans is sadly deeply embedded in polish society.
Remember Poland is ruled by a party that regularly calls Germany the fourth Reich, Germans Nazis and photoshops German politicians into ss-uniforms.

“He sees the issue as part of a broader conspiracy aimed at subverting Poland and accused the Commission of trying “to break Poland and force it into full submission to Germany.”

It pains me a lot, because Poland is a wonderful country, but we.must be honest and admit that hatred and bigotry have found their place in the centre of polish politics

Hell America and Britain are fully in. NATO isn’t backing down if it comes to that.
All of NATO will be. Hell when Germany comes in I’m promising you we’re going to see a fresh face.
German military is good. French military is outstanding. Polish military are rising stars.

I do find surprising the mistrust of the French, Spanish, and Italians of the British and Americans. Why is that?
Honestly i don’t mind this as a french, if they can’t understand what zelensky said then i can’t do anything for them, France did a lot in term of diplomacy in this war and will continue that you don’t like that we do the dirty job or not someone has to do it.

Entertaining view of national xenophobias. Interesting that UK is liked less than the US in most groups. Spanish and Italians trusting “EU”, given a no-foreign-policy position for the most part by the EU, and a complete inability to do jack (no military) – interesting.
Should maybe have included the US, to make the table complete at least.
We learn from experience.
