State bodies told to redouble efforts to identify properties for housing use

  1. I’d say I could walk round the middle of Drogheda in an afternoon and find a few dozen buildings. I sincerely doubt the issue is “identifying” properties, it’s either an inability or an unwillingness to invest the funds needed to fix the problem.

That, and a genuine desire to fix it in a way that would, by necessity, hit those who have in order to bail out those who have not, which wouldn’t go down at all well with FG voters….

  2. It’s easy to continuously redouble when you were doing fuck all in the first place. A bit like counting your steps every extra trip to the fridge.
