Hi dear german friends 🙂 Mexican here, I’m going to germany in September, a dream come true! 😀 But I have my preconceptions of how transfer works in the rest of the world and is not that great, So in the DB train website there’s a train(s) that goes from Salzburg Austria to Berlin but there’s a 10min transfer time between Salzburg and Munich (and another 15min from Nürnberg to Berlin) My question is, the transfer window in Munich is it enough? or should I buy a ticket from salzburg to munich earlier, have dinner and be earlier at the Munich train station?

Thank you! 😀

  1. If the trains are punctual it should be enough time. But it is not unlikely that there is a delay. But don’t worry, if there is a delay >20 minutes to your destination Berlin you can choose any other train and the route Munich to Berlin is run quite frequently.

  2. If you have one single ticket for the whole journey, you can take a later train if you miss the first one die to a delay.

Between Munich and Berlin there are many trains so it shouldn’t be a problem to take a later one unless it’s the last of the day.
