Asda reveals one in five UK households have ‘negative disposable income’

  1. Maybe Asda can stop raising their prices so exponentially.

We gone from Tesco, to Asda to Aldi, not sure where else there is to go next.

  2. I wonder how many are among their own staff?

Got a friend who works in ASDA and the wages are shocking. Even their department managers (section leaders?) who have to do rotas, juggle absences etc (essentially the ASDA lower management/team leader equivalent of your generic office job) are on like a tenner an hour.

  3. That is why someone created credit! And pay day shitty insane scheme. To keep people chained and loaded with debts. Fuck it! I never set one foot at asda and never will

  4. Likely because 1 in 5 get poverty wages that require top ups from the government. The amount we subsidise business who keep making “record profits” is fucking nuts.

  5. Im quite comfortably middle class but only recently (uni truly transformed my life). How did we let the system get so utterly fucked?

The rich always stole, lied and cheated but why are they so brazen now?

  6. Meanwhile they’re refusing to pass on a drop in fuel prices, contributing to the crisis they’re talking about (and profiting from).

  7. Asda taking the piss is one of the reasons that they’re in negative disposable income though so of course they know that

  8. 1 in 5 households with £60 deficit between income and essentials – worrying. I wish every single one of those millions contact their MP.
Govt needs to stop talking and take action. They can always find the money for war.

  9. Yay corporations will kill off their work force and end up with fuck all and die win win I’m happy with that

  10. It says the average household only has on average £200 per week after bills, that’s like £800-1000 per month depending on how your wage is calculated.

That’s gonna be depressing to a bunch of people for different reasons.

  11. Economy is only benefitting the rich over 12 years of tories, but it takes a 3rd party sperate from the government to tell us what hardships we as a nation are facing.

Why the fuck are the blind in charge?
