I think it’s long been proved that the Met is an immensely poor judge of what is and isn’t likely to undermine public confidence.
It’s pretty clear that she messed up big time and tried to cover for her sister, however I still find it bizarre that she was even charged, let alone placed on the sex offenders register. It just doesn’t seem to be in the public interest.
The reason for her reinstatement is a massive elephant in the room, isn’t it?
