Anyone know what all these tents are for?

1. I was driving from Brig somewhere around Münster and saw a massive amount of tents and people building stuff with planks of wood. Kind of looked like a youth summer camp. Anyone know exactly what this is? The tents went on easily for 2-3 km.

3. That was the BuLa (Bundes Lager). It was a two week summer camp for Pfadis (scouts) from all over Switzerland.
   About 30’000 People lived in this tent-city. They even got their own supermarket, post office and postal code.

   This huge camp only takes place every 14 years.

   EDIT: The camp is over and what you saw are just some of the remains that aren’t already taken down.

16. I was at the BuLa as a Leitperson (Scout Leader). It was really fun and a unique experience.
