It’s a brexit problem. It’s their own fault and this is a consequence of their own actions.
Portugal isn’t a fault here.
“They should have studied”
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
I see British people complain all the time about these residence documents, but it’s no problem unless maybe you are trying to get a family reunification for a non-EU partner. That’s mostly not the case.
It’s bullshit what the headline says. I moved to Portugal in August 2020! I got all my documents, one as late as December 2020! I have traveled in and out several times. Eu não sou “in limbo”. Fuck, all of 2016-2020 was in limbo because of the stupid UK Brexit fantasy.
Britânicos adoram queixa. 🙄
Sucks to be them, I suppose.
Fuck Brexit, you have at you wished and voted for
The article is misleading and pejorative to the Portuguese. The Guardian only got one thing right, and that is about Tig James, she is a tireless and able campaigner.
Biometric cards are being rolled out, there was a pilot project in Madeira.
Meanwhile SEF as an entity is being phased out after an ugly incident in Lisboa airport, this could take years to complete.
As a British immigrant (came in the transition period) I can honestly say that this sounds like complete hyperbole or just plain old bullshit. I haven’t had any issues at all and I am happy to wait while SEF, or whoever it will be next, get their shit together. No one I know here is complaining about it, we are just enjoying the people, the wine, the food and the weather.
Where is Limbo anyway, down on the Algarve?
… Portugal fails… that’s something new 😅😅
I’m one, my husband is American and applied under family reunification, he has his! Friends getting D7 visas in months. Just can’t figure out why its taking so long. Fucking hate Brexit and the ponces who voted for it.Love Portugal though and the Portuguese. Taking Portuguese classes at our local Bombeiros, love that they have a bar there and I can have a vinho before going to class though definately helps me learn
Ah, notícias do The Guardian. Essa escumalha pasquineira.
