Ah the memories flooding back… Loved mosney as a kid
My Nan used to work in Mosney, and a good friend’s parents owned some of the catering side of things (from what I could glean as a child, anyway) and Mosney was my favourite place in the world. Every summer we’d be given anywhere between £20 and £50 a day between us – his parents were loaded and it was Peak Celtic Tiger days – and by GOD we had it spent. Bingo, slot machines, giant rock sweets.
I was only *just* tall enough to ride the Tempest the last Summer before it shut down.
I have such fond memories, the weird off-brand Smarties that they sold in the arcades, the swimming pool with that underground slide, the little playground before you got down to the amusements, the smell of petrol off the bumper boats and go-karts.
Genuinely if I could have 3 wishes from a Genie, I’d waste one of them on a single day in early 00’s Mosney.
