The EU is only a big market to facilitate trade, the rest remains in the background: its inability to go beyond this stage has earned it a certain rejection and the rise of nationalism everywhere.
Anyway, given the negative votes I get on r/europe as soon as I give my opinion, I think I’ll end up joining their camp. It’s clear that we will never get along: we might as well not waste time and move on

These things shouldnt be in the hands of companies…
The EU needs to make a law for this with a (Short) faceout, only things that really need plastics should remains as so (or a deposit system should be made).
If one Company use the extra money to do the right thing they lose the the competion who doesnt.
And if EU cant help us with polution, global Warming and other potential existencial threats why are they even for?
