I mean I would not have anything against it, but where?
I’d want it but I do not have space at home.
We dont need this kind of pollution tnx. Its enough the country has on average 2.5 cars per household.
There was a GP of Luxembourg at Nürburgring in 1997 and 1998. The Ferrari team with Schumacher came to the place Guillaume.
No way. We don’t want another Monaco here. As it is property is so expensive.
It would be cool to have a once off event, send the card through the city flooring the ING marathon route or something, but don’t make it a yearly event
I’d rather have super bike or motogp or rally
I remember watching David Coulthard pulling donuts in a Red Bull V8 in Belval, that was epic
Too many street circuits in F1 as it is… Spa is just around the corner (if it stays on the race calendar that is…)
hell no
Historically there has been a Grand Prix de Luxembourg which was held at Findel Airport. (1949-1952)
I mean since they are making so many new street circuits why not try like in Kirchbierg for exemple 🤔 it would probably be a weird and narrow track but I mean it is just one more bad track on the calendar hahah
sign me up
That wouldn’t make sense….
A. We don’t have the space to build a racetrack
B. We do no5 have the Highways for automobile tourism
C. Our police are not trained to manage automobile tourism
D. We need nature instead of a racetrack
E. There is Nürnburgring and Spa Francorchamps just around the corner
Nah. Enough noise from Mfs with loud cars who think they are driving F1s
No thanks I think our government has wasted enough tax payer money on vanity projects and I (as a class 1 tax payer) for one am no longer willing to bleed for that.
We already have one in Belval. Training is every night and they even do MotoGp there.
Race tracks being currently operated already have a hard time surviving, pretty sure absolutely nobody wants to give a shot and build a world class infrastructure in the EU.
There’s two extra useless wheels for my taste so not sure how things are for cars but at least for bikes it is becoming a nightmare. Stock bikes don’t even pass noise controls on recent tracks, most have various associations lined up trying to close them down … This is getting to a point where the French federation (and the same is happening in DE, BE, NL pretty much) has issued new rules limiting the noise to 95dB on any track for any event as from 2024.
Bottom line, those sports as we know them are pretty much dead. Maybe a few good years as a farewell but that’s about it. Let’s see how long I can personally continue, may be tough to tow my stuff with a Tesla but who knows 🙂
Personally, I wouldn’t want one. There are two very nice F1-approved tracks near Luxembourg at less than 2 hours of driving time, and then there’s Chambley and the Nordschleife for those who like to track their car on a small technical circuit. If you draw your driving time circle wider, there are more nice race tracks than you’d like to visit in a year. Luxembourg has an outstanding position when it comes to “easily reachable tracks”, and we don’t need one more track in our country.

It would be a nightmare. For a normal circuit there is basically no space to build it, while for a city track it would be an impossible track, with streets which are narrower than Monaco’s.
The nice go-kart track in Mondercange is what I could say a good compromise for a tiny country like Luxembourg: a small track for a small country. But nothing more. And SPA is just two hours from here
WE NEED HOUSING HERE NOT CARS GOING VROOM VROOM.
Nope.
Why? This sport is so environmentally unfriendly
As if Luxembourg needed more roadworks 😂😂😂
Check out the new 2026 regulations, it will be 100% eco friendly, the only thing that is not is all the transport they need to do to get to a gp.
I would love to see f1 cars racing over the red bridge in kirchberg an go through the voie de la liberté tunnel!
I prefer better public transport instead.
Us financing Spa to keep that on the calendar and make it the “Let’s Make It Happen” Grand Prix du Luxembourg is probably the most realistic outcome in this matter.
Yeah I’m always asking myself why we don’t have a proper racetrack in Luxembourg!?
For such an amazing country with so many nice cars, and such a love for automobiles, it’s very weird that we don’t have a kickass racetrack.
It would also give the country so much renown on the international scene.
People don’t need more houses, they need a place where they can floor it and let their soul express itself.
