First step towards a general strike? Enough is Enough campaign launches

  1. Oh I really hope so. The British public take far too much shit and just bend over ready for some more, all the while thanking those in power for the fucking.

They’ve lied and manipulated the public into far too many things, such as their ideological austerity to slash the shit out of every public service they could. They’ve dismantled the NHS and dragged it through the rocks face first, decimating things such as mental health services. They’ve told everyone there’s no magic money tree whilst funnelling money to themselves and their mates through dodgy contracts and outright theft. They’ve manipulated the public into the biggest suicidal geopolitical blunder in living memory. They’ve turned a number of thousands of people who need the use of foodbanks into multiple millions. You’ve got people working two jobs just to keep the lights on. You’ve got people working 40+ hours a week and needing foodbanks. You’ve the NHS staff being given advice on how to access food banks because they’re getting paid fuck all to be massively overworked and massively understaffed and underfunded. The education system is a fucking mess, there’s fuck all funding left, teachers are being paid pennies relative to the massive workload they’ve got. You’ve got blatantly corrupt politicians rubbing their antics into the face of the public and facing absolutely no consequences. The whole system is rotting to the fucking core.

Need I go on? This list could get a lot bigger.

  2. Working in the non-unionised private sector, I’d be so sick if a general strike was held I think I’d need to take the day off work.

  3. About fucking time, I can’t see it happening unfortunately, it seems we lost worker solidarity years ago. I’m still going to try my hardest to get my colleagues on board.

  4. This is a lot better than that campaign to not pay bills. I dunno who is behind that particular campaign but it reeks of privilege to choose not to pay bills rather than acknowledging that fact that millions can’t.

  5. There’s large scale public sector strikes planned for this winter too. PCS have announced they are going to ballot their members in September for strike action, and given the current state of the public sector I can’t see anything other than a landslide vote in favour. It seems it’s not going to be the feeble one day strikes of old (i.e the last 15 year), either.

  6. Everybody Out and about fucking time.

With a government serving non-stop Dereliction of Duty, there is no alternative but to bring the UK to a complete halt. What’s making it worse is listening to the two imbeciles Sunak and Truss talk shit with the sole aim of talking even more shit once they get to be PM. There is only one option here and we need to hit rock bottom via a General Strike so we can start to work our way back up again.

  7. I’ve only known of the man for a few weeks but sure, I’m sure I can find a way to not work. Really it’s the drivers and warehouse workers who need to strike at our place before anybody is likely to address the inflation and complete lack of movement on wages. Still, might be worth seeing what can be done.

  8. General strike is needed for these fuckers to call an election. But they have no shame so even that is wishful thinking.

  9. Bugger all this legal pish go back to the old ways set a time and date tools down walk out. Fuckers offering tiny pay rises while making millions in profits.

  10. “i stress, i dont believe economic equality is possible; indeed some measure of inequality is essential for the spirit of envy and keeping up with the Joneses that is, like greed, a valuable spur to economic activity.” – Boris Johnson

  11. Just looked at a sky news article and theres apparently someone on strike every day from the 13th this month.

    Including Felixstow.

Soo General strike is becoming more and more likely.

  12. I am 100% down with this.

It’s just made me a bit sad that the labour party aren’t the ones leading the charge on this. Those 5 demands are perfect, and would fit perfect into a national campaign in opposition, real opposition.

  13. I was literally saying earlier today, it’s coming, be ready when it does.

Early days for this yet, plenty of time for the powers that be to do their thing, but I’m hopeful. If we get a chance with this, please, everyone, do not waste it

  14. Up the RMT, Mick Lynch and all workers being screwed over by this disgusting bunch of Tory Pricks.

    Fuck the Tories.

  15. What’s so sad as well is that the so called opposition is coming out against the strikes too. The entire system on both sides doesn’t give a fuck about ordinary people

  16. Bring it on, and everyone should get out on the streets and show strength in numbers. Enough is enough. We are facing yet another PM who is so far removed from the reality of the struggles many families face this coming winter. We need a general election not another inside the party vote.

  17. You watch, if this starts to get traction. Watch the media outlets ramp up the racism accusations, feminism issues & anything else that gets people worked up. It’s all smoke & mirrors designed to separate people and keep people focused on other things (divide and conquer).

  18. What really gets me is the greedy bastards who already have millions denying a decent pay rise to staff. How much fucking money do you actually need.. once your past a few million your set for life.. so share the wealth. They then come up with, if we give you a decent pay rise it’ll push up inflation.. bollocks. Over the last 12 years my pay increased by 1 or 2 percent per year for 3 years we had no pay increase. I also had my hours cut in 2017 by 2 hours a week. I’ve lost about £15,000 in earning.. levelling up I don’t think so..seriously wake up Britain.. Enough is Enough this isn’t living, this isn’t how it should be.. it isn’t fucking fair.
