Ok I have an idea to whittle down Whitehall.
Let’s first cut all subsidised bars and restaurants. Saving us somewhere between £50,000 and £100,000 a week depending on your stats source.
Then let’s cut the Pay of MPs to the the median of all workers in the UK. Which is ~£2000 a month or £24k a year. Is this to cheap? No of course not afterall they should be proud to serve the country and help the people; you know same reasons they suggest teachers and nurses dont need pay rises.
Let’s see. 650 MPs; current base salary is £84k a year.
So saving £39million minimum every single year.
This is before even looking at expenses over MPs and house of Lords;or things such as their lucrative pensions which are still final salary based despite their regular attacks on everyone else’s pensions.
So let me get this right… Sunak is sacking government employees to pay for some sort of energy cap… Like he is putting more people into poverty to pay for poverty that he himself created as chancellor a few months ago?

I think it is some sort of mock-speed camera (or it could be a real one). It scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it. It didn’t last long. A lot of people objected to it.
I wonder if it counted towards Boris’ 20,000 new coppers on the beat?
This country is about the be ruined by either letting an utter fucking Numptie loose as PM or a tax dodging billionaire who has no working class mates, both totally inept for the looming cost of living crisis this winter which will see people’s grandparents freeze to death.
