>If we turn up, it doesn’t always mean you’re in trouble so don’t instantly worry and don’t take your anger out on us.
My heart goes out to anyone injured like this, but it is naive to think that you can just tell people not to feel threatened by police. There’s a reason why people feel threatened.
I would love for those who constantly berate and criticise the police just for doing their jobs, and those who mock and disrespect the police, to spend just one evening doing what the police do every day of the year.
It’s one of the most toughest jobs out there, and every day/night every copper on patrol knows that there’s a very real chance of them receiving life-altering injuries/harm, possibly even death itself, at some point during their shift.

The offender was sentenced to a mighty [20 months](https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-56904688) in prison, meaning that he’s already out of prison…
That’ll teach him… **/s**
