How do you shorten these? I can’t find an obvious clipped one at all. I’m asking here because Google no help and i got them in Ireland

1. Make sure the pull cord isn’t in a loop as this has caused several children to die from strangulation and now blind companies have to separate the cord into two.

2. Have a look along the full length, sometimes the join is a little clip, sometimes you can get ones with the join concealed inside the ball. It looks like the latter is the kind you have.

   If there’s no obvious join or knot you can try cutting it size, tying a knot roughly the size of the ball and then drop some superglue on the knot and leave it to harden. Trim off any excess string when it’s hardened. Try to match the spacing of the knot closely with the existing balls or your blind will stick when the knot goes through.

   Or just buy a blind cord that can be shortened. They’re like a fiver.

3. There should be a little plastic connector on them. Open that and you can take the loop out and just cut with a scissors and reattach
