> British Transport Police faces backlash after suggesting people who question gender ideology should not work for them
Trans-thought police.
(this is pre-coffee as well, so I’m doubly proud of that one)
Does it face backlash, or does it just face a segment some producer cooked up for LBC to distract from the disaster unfolding?
On the headline alone, their stance might seem quite extreme, but if you actually read what they wrote:
“If you’re offended by this, please don’t apply to work for us”
it’s clearly way, way less so. They’re not suggesting that people *who question gender ideology* shouldn’t work for them, they’re saying people who find the idea of inclusion *offensive* shouldn’t — two very different ballgames.
Oh no shock horror trying police shouldnt be filled with bigots and discrimination.
One would expect that if someone truly believes in law and order to be impartial one sorta kinda needs people without bigotry or discriminatory views to be police.
Unless of course LBC are admitting that police should be bigoted? Let me guess they also have a problem if the police tried to teach their staff about racial bias.
It’s almost like they just want thugs that they can use to set on the “other”
There are different forms of “questioning gender ideology” aren’t there.
There’s getting into a sensible debate about complex biology and how to logistically apply it to society, and then there’s reeeeing at the sight of a rainbow flag.
If you’re like the person in this article who thinks the flag is some sort of controversial political statement, then yeah, you can stay out of our police forces.
Ah yes, the daily reminder that living your life as a trans person is considered “political”.
Not protesting, not writing letters to your MP, just getting out of bed is considered an unholy act by some people.
(Can we also stop quoting random people on twitter? Why are people with 2 likes and 5 followers considered newsworthy commentators? You can find any view on Twitter to prove your point, literally anything.)
