My mom said she had something that I could polish my bathtub hardware with so I used what she gave me without thinking twice. After I used it in my bathroom with the window open, my sister looked at the bottle and said it looked really old. I tried to wash it off /scrub it off, however it won’t come off. The company no longer exists but I found this on a forum. There are no ingredients listed on the bottle. How dangerous is it to use metal polish cleaner from ca 1999. I’m so stressed I’ve ruined my bathtub and breathed in/ handled old chemicals. My mom lied when I asked if she gave me chemicals from her basement.

Did ya shake to bottle before use?
Might just be that its contents have separated if its been standing around for long.
Old stuff like that often does not go bad and is usually better than new stuff anyways so i say shake the bottle up, polish again and then mix a grog using what ever is left in the bottle.
As long as you dont drink the cleaner, you should be fine healthwise.
Fubrima was pretty much baking soda, if I recall correctly. It was marketed as being kind.
You should be fine.
According to [this document](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.diva-portal.se/smash/get/diva2:508711/FULLTEXT01.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiZhrWLqbj5AhUJuIsKHbyRDF4QFnoECCMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1tYkYJn3Wey1f5vxOc1350) it contains water, silica earth, ammonium citrate, isopropyl alcohol, ammonium oxalate, soaft soap (soft soap?), colour and perfume. Some other document I found just listed it as dangerous to consume, so there should be no risk of dangerous fumes.
