Where did all the money go that our incredible economy produced for us? If you peel back the veneer of almost any public service it’s barely functional. Other much poorer countries can manage fire safety inspections. And it doesn’t take them 18+ months to enforce things. We’ve all these regulators and agencies that give the appearance of providing a service but when you need them to do something they can’t do it.
