    Can’t disagree with any of that.

  2. Has Johnson actually done anything in the last month? It certainly looks like he’s just engaged in personal matters and gone on holiday. If so that’s another black mark against the Tories that didn’t insist on a proper interim PM. Perhaps he’s learned to play the fiddle.

  3. This always happens around a General Election or change of leadership. Nobody is allowed to make new policies, so government pretty well shuts down. Cynics might say this is a good thing in some ways.
