I have been completely desensitized to people wearing their mask incorrectly. I believe the announcers in the train station even say that it’s important it covers your nose and your mouth. People just don’t give a shit.
Also: I see a lot of people complaining about our kids getting “punished” by wearing a mask.
It’s only a punishment if you make it look that way. Most young kids can cope with it.
Making 6 year olds wear mouth masks is sickening in my opinion. Yeah I’ll wear my mouth mask properly but at least attempt to not ruin their childhood.
I’m not sure if it has a connection, but I’ve seen mostly men wearing their masks wrong like that. Might it be like a penis thing, where they think their nose is too big for their mask?
The issue here is what does the government want to achieve by letting 6 year old kids wear masks. I really cannot imagine any situation where a 6 year old kid will keep his mask on correctly for a whole day.
To me this looks like a measure decided by 50 year old people who have not been around children since a long long time.
They’d be much better of mandating the vaccine instead of pushing for such useless measures.
Why do people believe that they can only take a phone call after taking off their mask?!
And why do they believe that taking a phone call in a public space exempts them from wearing a mask?
As does talking to the person at the cash register.
I generally support mask mandate, vaccination and other health policies.
But in my opinion, this mask mandate on children will have a limited to no real impact on the pandemic and was selected only so that the politics could say they did something (while not having the courage to take harder measure like closing schools now and not the 20th).
Apparently, Jan Jambon even admitted that the reason he asked the Codeco to have an emergency meeting was because De Wever asked him to (there was a big show with hundred / thousand of people in Antwerpen and De Wever didn’t want to cancel it himself and damage his public image). This is a bad joke.
The way I see it is that kids don’t seem to mind at all. At least the youngest ones don’t. Maybe when they get older and more rebel, they might start complaining but the young ones just do what has to be done.
There’s a 5 second clip of someone telling Laurent to cover his nose. Laurent reacted (quite exasperated) something along the lines of “I can’t see shit with fogged up glasses”
who gives a shit..
They speak from experience…? If they can’t, how do you think kids **possibly** could?
You really messed up here by not including Koen Geens putting his face mask over his eyes
