Who cares? The guidance is there to support everyone who has periods.
Okay but is the guidance wrong?
Seeing as not all people who have periods are girls/women, not sure why this is a problem?
Dont fall for rage-bait.
Why would it need to? it would be excluding people if it did.
Some people really will complain about anything
How dare the NHS use inclusive language?!
Why does it need to?
Even *if* (I’m not sure *why* you would ignore transgender people, but hey, let’s do it for the sake of discussion) one ignores people whose gender identities deviate from their biological sex and instead applies a strictly biologicals sex determination system using SRY, FOXL2, and SOX9, intersex people exist. Obviously, intersex people with primarily female expression are “people who bleed”, but aren’t female.
Hell, there’re even two examples of intersex people becoming parents (one true hermafrodite giving birth to a child, and one true hermafrodite fathering a child).
Move on. The rest of us have, and you’ll be left behind if you’re stuck in that outdated, unscientific worldview of yours.
