I would love to see an investigation into the role some politicians have played in this scandal. People who needed to verify that environmental rules were being followed, already stated they were not allowed to do their job. It would do wonders for the credibility of our politicians, if for once they would actually do something to verify if corruption was at play. And if it was, to punish those who benefitted and take some steps to make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.
All they do now is this “onderzoekscommissie” where they ask 3M some questions. 3M doesn’t even bother to answer the serious ones. This just feels like a PR stunt.
