Oh this is too much,. Where was the oversight? Why does policing practices keep disappointing! This is not acceptable in 2022.
In this case it seems an isolated, targeted issue.
Strip searches on Students should increase tremendously, in and out of school, as long as they wearing their Uniform.
Crime amongst students has escalated.. Knife crime etc.. . A whole child’s future destroyed. No doubt inflation, along with bullying etc.. plays a huge roll.
Searches should be extended to out of School. grounds.
funny how in the UK porn is restricted but children are free to be strip-searched.
This is why people complaining about Wayne Couzons and the like don’t understand the bigger picture. Of course cops and lawyers and judges will condemn a murderer rapist. But what about the legal actions? This is not going to result in any prosecutions, that child was legally sexually assaulted and if you don’t see it as assault let’s search your 15 yr old relatives and see how quickly your tune would change.
Any cop/judge/lawyer involved in the prosecution of cannabis while letting alcohol-involved crimes run rampant, any involved in babysitting assange while crime has increased across the board just to keep daddy America happy, any involved in ignoring the systemic grooming gangs for whatever crap reason they come up with… the problem is that covers pretty much the entire justice system.
Every cop, judge and lawyer you interact with are ok with this and would arrest you for protesting it, but not their colleagues for violating a child.
Isn’t this a consequence of the failing war on drugs? County lines using childen to peddle drugs, crackdowns on crime focusing on punishment so now children are being caught up in it all.
So these cases are pretty much inevitable whilst we still try to clampdown on an industry that isnt going away. Surely we need to zoom out and look at the big picture failings of policing NOT JUST the horrible failings of some officers like these
but just yesterday the police/Met said they didn’t have a racism issue and now this
who to believe >_>
fuck them & their tacit dereliction of duty resulting in traumatic situations like this
650 kids basically raped by UK authorities because of the “war on marijuana” ?
We need the imperial legion guards from Oblivion to arrest the officers doing this
Stripsearching children is creepy regardless of gender
There appears to be mixed reporting here…cynically I wonder if this is intentional.
A stop and search on the streets not exposing intimate body parts (but more than taking off a jacket/outer coat/gloves) only needs to be conducted out of public view and the codes of practice say that they shouldn’t be conducted in the view of anyone else unless the person searched specifically asks (and that request is reasonable, not Aunty Joan who lives three hours away).
Exposing intimate body parts does require an appropriate adult unless the juvenile says that they do not want them present. In cases of urgency then yes it can be done without one present as there will always be caveats to allow for the difficult circumstances.
I am surprised the number of searches with an appropriate adult is as high as it is personally. You may be shocked that there is a fair percentage of people who have parents who are less supportive and unwilling to attend a police station to witness a search. Social services will take hours, youth/care workers generally are busy themselves. What does the officer do then? Keep someone in handcuffs to prevent them harming themselves/others until the appropriate adult is available? Probably equally as distressing.
I’m afraid we do not live in an ideal world and there are kids that don’t care about shooting people or carrying crack. I’m not blindly defending the met who have their own issues but suggesting that this is something akin to a 30,000 strong paedo squad who do it for kicks I think is a little far from the truth.
If you want to change it then get your MP to lobby to change the codes of practice, but don’t be surprised one day when a kid carries a gun down their pants that the police can’t stop it.
Using the letter “Q” in the context of children being strip-searched will certainly get some of the more colourful elements excited.
And the police wonder why there appears to be a code of silence in certain communities when a crime happens. Probably because these individuals are resentful about the way they have been treated by the police in the past.
Searching people for things like cannabis is inherently counter productive.
650 between 2018 -20. just appalled that the police do this to children. sexual assault.
Why are we even strip-searching anyone in 2022? If you’re that desperate to do it, take them to a police station and install some of those scanners they use at airports.
Oh, right, but then you don’t get to sexually assault schoolgirls.

No comments because no surprises?
