A sociologist, a pedagogue, a philosopher, a historian, two linguists and two engineers complain about not being consulted by the government on what they think about the Coronacrisis.
Geez, I wonder why…
This reminds me of a quote:
“There is no democracy in physics. We can’t say that some second rate-guy has as much right to opinion as fermi”.
Ofcourse not every science is as exact in nature as physics. However the quote still holds true to an extend. You cant expect non-experts to get an equal platform as experts.
While covid is not as black on white as some cases. The expert pannel of the government also doesnt exclusively hold experts on virology. Yes. The overwelming majority is that but there are also plenty of experts from lesser related fields in that pannel. Some examples: there’s an economist, a sociologist, a lawyer, a psychologist, and i think even statistician
I have learned from the post/article:
Let’s be nicer to our elders/seniors. Let’s show we (the younger generations) are doing what’s possible and righteous in order to all have a better quality of life.
