How much CO2 does a TikTok generate? We should go back to web 1.0 if we’re serious about climate change…
Good. Fuck TikTok and its CCP overlords.
Building green houses instead of homes in Dublin – we could just grow food in them just like they did in Tokyo during the last downturn.
The slow down continues. Big tech companies like tiktok, meta and Google will start shedding workers soon. Dublin may get hit hard. Might slow the rat race down a bit.
Another transient social media business with even more geopolitical problems.
They’ve only pulled out of 1 office of 3. They’re still planning on moving into the new massive buildings on the quays and Cardiff Lane.
Good, less demend for offices means less office development which means more construction workers available for housing development.
Is this possibly remote working related? Most companies I know are struggling to get staff back to the office and are beginning to come to terms with that. Offices are beginning to look like a bit of a luxury.
Thats not much of a story, they’ve just temporarily slowed down on a future plan to have loads of workers, but seem happy enough with current growth. Seems like a decent company to work for, from the few people I know who work there.

Yeah offices aren’t really required anymore.
