Yup. When I was at the 75th celebration of the liberation of auschwitz the attempt to reshape history was readily apparent. In his speech the polish president claimed that poland was the first nation attacked and occupied by germany. When he spoke about the victims of the nazi regime he didnt mention gays or the fact that german jews, dissidents, gays and so on were murdered like all the other victims. My tour guide at the camp tried to tell us that auschwitz was built to „destroy polish intelligence“ and not to kill jewish people and all the other human beings that the nazis claimed were undesireable.
