Britain could be taking the lead in tackling the climate crisis. Where’s the ambition? | Keir Starmer!

  1. This is a bit maddening. Now more than ever you’d think we’d have strong political support for home-produced energy. Covering the North Sea in wind turbines would create loads of skilled jobs, and produce a lot of energy without relying on unsavoury fossil fuel producers.

  2. I love reading the backseat driver statements of opposition leaders, because that’s all they are, statements but no real policy details. And I’m not just having a go at Starmer here, it’s exactly the same nonsense when the Tories are in the back seat

  3. People want to make small lifestyles changes that are mentally comfortable and require little effort, so they support politicians who offer those as the best means to tackle climate change. The radical action required is very unpalatable and unpopular, there is no need for ambition when people are content with lacklustre policies.

  4. Keith ( we did a poll that agreed by a huge margin he should NOT have the same name as a socialist hero!) Is a pretty boy with no ideas unless his donors tell him! But is he managed by Tory Tony? The computer says probably ok yes!
There I didn’t mention his past failures of not jailing Sir jim’ll fix girls kids etc but hates public sprited whistleblowers with a USA of is it a donors vengeance?

  5. Yet no matter what we do, it’ll never be enough.

We’re only just a small island nation, after all. Until the much larger, bigger, more populated nations on the planet start taking climate change seriously, whatever we do is little more than just pissing into the wind.
