Hi everyone!! I’m from the US and currently have a Fiktionsbescheinigung while waiting for my au pair visa to come through. My friends and I were hoping to go to Italy to celebrate new years (just in an Airbnb, not clubbing because I’m deeply afraid of Covid hahah) but a friend said that I wasn’t allowed to leave the country until I have my actual visa. However, I was reading this website (https://service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/326233/en/) which says with a Fiktionsbescheinigung under § 81 Section 4 of the Residence Act you are able to leave the country (which is the type I have)

You’re allowed to travel overseas with fiktionsbescheinigung. Don’t worry.
Did you get any additional information from the landratsamt/KVR? Or Is it possible to contact the issuing office to confirm either way? Because I know I was not allowed to travel while holding only a fiktionsbescheinigung, because I hadn’t yet been approved for my visa.
