  1. LOL. Honestly, we are who we are. We are backwards and Tory lead. If that means millions of people sliding into poverty thats what it means.

The economy of London, and market for highly skilled people is still very good. Everyone else is vulnerable.

  2. Poverty for who?

Ah right, only us. Never mind, I’m sure the latest in a long line of multi-millionaire chancellors will be just fine.

  3. Why does he think he’s a statesmen ffs. Inherited a Government and lost the next election. Sunak or Truss will be in the same boat. Shit the fuck up and move on

  4. Jesus, they coulda used a better picture of him. Like one where he doesn’t look like he’s literally just been raised from the dead.

  5. I liked Gordon Brown. Best chancellor we’ve ever had and every prediction he’s made about the economy since 2008 has been right.

We were all absolute clowns for siding with Nick Clegg over him back in 2010.

  6. No one is gonna listen to you. You sold like half our gold reserves for nothing. I don’t think even the Conservatives can stoop that low.

  7. I dont mind Gordon Brown but what does he honestly think we’ve been doing for the 2 years

How can we put money away for winter when we’ve already been bled dry

  8. It’ll all be fine, Truss will storm in with some oven-ready policies to help out her donor pals and other associated wealthy peoples in their hour of desperation! The rest of us can sit in the cold and suffer like the good cash cows we are, then maybe at the next election they’ll throw us a bone by dropping some previously announced plans to raise taxes and maybe cancel shutting down a hospital or 40…

  9. So can we now expect Gove to make yeat another series of demented voice impressions centred around the words “emergency budget”? Do we need to “calm down”? Etc.

  10. Any policy that will help people needed to be designed and pushed through now.

We’re looking at having a new Prime Minister in September, who has already rubbed Wales and Scotland the wrong way, who thinks cutting corporation tax cuts is the answer.

  11. Brown is probably Britain’s greatest politician since Michael Foot. The only other who has integrity and honour I can think is Donald Dewar.

  12. Don’t you think they need to start finding solutions to the inevitable climate disasters that may happen very soon? Houses on stilts and anti flooding measure and such? I would have thought all the politicians would have started to flood proof their homes by now

  13. I think we are at the point of ‘Set emergency budget now and have a winter of dire poverty’. The Tories are not going to act quickly, so that dire poverty will already be here by the time they decide to act in any capacity.
