I mean “Drivers do not respect traffic laws and do not follow safe driving practices.”, it’s not completely wrong?
This coming from the government who’s leader cannot remember how many times he wore blackface and is still in power.
Fuck off Canadian government.
I mean… can anyone honestly say the statement is wrong?
This is The Times trying to bait people into their comments section. It’s as if nobody ever read government travel advice.
It’s good that tourists know what to expect, and the comment on driving is very relevant in a country where people treat traffic laws as gospel.
Chances are that a lot of other countries’ travel advice just don’t bother mentioning it (or for all we know they do), but the fact that Canada does isn’t some sort of aggression.

Honestly the driving situation in Malta is a nightmare
Cars are becoming a badge of dishonour. But yet its public policy to accommodate as many as possible on our roads
Hunting incidents in Canada are a 1000 a year approx, whilst here maybe a couple.
Driving they are right.
And like true narcissist that we are, its Canada’s fault and they better look at their own problems. Sigh.
As a Maltese Canadian, this is hilarious.
i live in Brampton Ontario and just got back from a week in Malta. i’d say the driving in Malta is no worse than the driving in Brampton. the smaller streets and uneven roads might make it seem worse but it really wasn’t that bad.
Stray shot falling from the sky maybe. Definitely no Stray bullets
Just came back from a week in Malta. Drove Malta and Gozo. The roads (state of paving and set up-junctions very confusing) are terrible but I didn’t find the actual driving that bad. I’ve driven all over the world and, relatively, it was fine. Maybe it was the time if year.
After years of driving in Poland, Malta is an easy mode for me 😁. Tbh I don’t find it much worse than Czechia or Germany where I’ve made shitloads of kms too. I don’t buy this article
