Also am I the only one who think’s it’s pretty dumb that people were tweeting “No it’s not true we are still in classroom xx.xx” in response to vives saying the situation was safe? The first rule when there’s an active shooter is not to disclose your location in case he’s searching for where people are hiding or has beef with someone specifically.
Hln says, suspect is identified (how??) but not caught yet. A certain J.V. according to the article.

An update to the situation:
It looks like the person might now be in Waregem. All the schools there, city hall and things like that are in lockdown.
This hasn’t been updated in the article i posted, but it did get changed on HLN and people i know in Waregem have confirmed this and also posted images and video’s about it
My teacher couldn’t come in to teach because he isn’t allowed in the school. Also so many of my classmates seem to know this guy personally.
UPDATE: I’m not allowed to go home. We’re in a lockdown in school.

Update: I just received a BE-alert message that the suspect is caught!
So his family tried to have him committed to a psychiatric clinic, but -surprise- there was no room to take him in. Good thing he didn’t just straight up get shot by the police.
I asked around and my friends who also work in bijzondere jeugdzorg have been working with this dossier…. They had quite a busy day… And what i heard from this guy… Doesnt surprise me

My work is across the street. I can see the perimeter. Cops checking any car that leaves…. Oh and some anti terror team that just now has landed
