  1. Salted pig fat as an alternative. My grandma used to make me a single rye bread + butter + pig fat sandwich that she then cut into small square pieces, and my 5 year old self thought that was some sort of ambrosia, especially as a side dish to borscht

  2. Others already commented about getting proper bread, so I just want to add – try the sprats w/o anything – they are amazing on their own. I’ll go even further and say that the bread really masks sprats taste.

  3. You need a fork for sprats. Eating the oily fish with your fingers is not enjoyable. And I agree with other commenters about the bread. This is wrong bread.
