Sorry, if this has already been asked in this subreddit before, but is [furnished.lu](https://furnished.lu) legit? I got an email which requires me to transfer EUR 2,194 within 72 hours but I have not been able to see the room and they did not send me any contract for the rent. If I don’t send the funds before 72 hours, I shall lose EUR 150 for the initial booking. Looks like a scam to me and I might have already lost EUR 150 for nothing.

Difficult to be in your position. However,
1. you would want to avoid [furnished.lu](https://furnished.lu) – just search the history of this r/
2. there were news that scammers are doing this – it is possible that your email is not from furnished. Never send any money without contract.
find their website (dont use links from email) and call them asking for confirmation. Timing of this email is interesting – it’s before weekend, so they know you will not contact the agency before tuesday (public holidays on monday)
Avoid furnished at all cost… bad bad bad experience to come if not.
The 150 euro is reimbursed, but you should definitely avoid them
What is the €150 for? Because fees outside of the legal limit are, well, illegal
I have spent in furnished for over a year and trust me. Its not worth it
They run a scam. Don’t pay until you see room in person and lease papers
