Almost certainly not. It’s similar to a recipe in an American cookbook called a “grilled Spamwich” and probably brought to Germany by GIs, before being introduced to the German public by a TV chef called Clemens Wilmenrod — he had to slightly adapt the recipe, as Spam wasn’t available in Germany at the time, so he used ordinary ham instead.
The pizza Hawaii was invented by a Canadian chef called Sam Panopoulos.
