  1. So no doubt they’ll be filing this case with the Supreme Court next. Then the ECHR, UN, VAR, and the Shadow Proclamation.

This whole saga has to end soon, to preserve what little dignity the poor boy has left. I hope the medical staff can then get some peace, and come to terms with what they’ve been through. And then I hope not to hear from his mother ever again.

  2. It’s been reported on her Facebook group that she’s now run out of options and they’re withdrawing treatment at 10:30pm tonight.

For his sake, I really hope this is true. For everyone’s sake, including the doctors and nurses working there looking after him for the past 4 months

Edit to add they’re now saying that the hospital is saying 10am tomorrow. So she still has time to try another tactic! Urgh. I’ll believe it when it happens, sadly

  3. So the limit I see this being stretched to is Monday. There’ll be a deadline for withdrawal of treatment probably something like 11am Saturday, so the creature who calls herself Archie’s mum will appeal to the Supreme court at probably 10:30am. They will then decree Archie cannot be moved probably Saturday afternoon, prompting another 11am Sunday deadline. The ghoul will then approach the Court of Appeals just in time who will probably decline on the evening, resulting in a final Monday deadline.

Anybody aware of where else they could drag this to in order to delay Archie’s rest?

  4. Controversial opinion but I think the family/mother are being incredibly selfish at this point. Grief for a child is unimaginable yes, but they are not the first parents to have a child die or be on life support.

It is prolonging the life of someone who is essentially dead, but for machines, because they themselves cannot let go. They direct their anger and energy towards healthcare staff and the legal system rather than just spend time with their boy, they need therapy and psychological support not lawyers.

The media should stop reporting on it. Let the poor boy finally have some dignity.

  5. I read something this morning that said not only was he brain dead but his body has suffered necrosis. As a parent I can’t even begin to imagine how they must feel and their terrible suffering but barring divine intervention there is no hope for the little boy.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his parents and his family. RIP little one xx

  6. Here we go again another court and another appeal, poor kid let him rest in peace now enough is enough. At least he is not feeling anything only good thing about it.

  7. I really hope there is a police investigation into exactly how he died. There’s something very off about this.

  8. The more it prolongs the more I am certain that mother is afraid of the investigation into archies death. The poor lad probably went through hell before attempting suicide. As a person who, himself was once close to doing this – fuck that woman, this kid should have dignified burial ceremony, not this fucking circus. He will never wake up, there is no technology in the world that can reverse necrosis

  9. What’s the odds in a few months we see headlines about his mum being sued by her lawyers for not paying their bills?

  10. Thinking of all the staff that have been dealing with this macabre circus for the past 4 months.

Especially thinking of those who are about to start work on the PICU this morning and have to deal with this utterly vile family as they finally say goodbye to their son.

Final thoughts are with the parents of critically ill children on the unit who have no doubt had their trauma increased 1000 fold by having this going on around them.
