The Oscar winner stars in The Pope’s Exorcist which sees him take on the role of the Vatican’s chief exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth, who is said to have performed over 100,000 exorcisms.
Fr Amorth previously worked as a lawyer and served in World War II before becoming a priest in 1954 and an exorcist in 1986. He wrote two memoirs before he died in 2016 at the age of 91.
