Sir Keir Starmer hid secret land ownership from Commons chiefs for eight years

  1. *Keir was unaware the field’s value had increased above the declarable limit*

Not exactly hiding it like the headline says

  2. What’s this again still trying to spin the report that explicitly said that these were clear inadvertent errors or just mismanaged paperwork rather than the tories and their actual intent to skirt the rules.

Oh wait I believe it is. You can disagree with Starmer on many things but there are far better things than this whether you be on left or the centre.

Cant exactly talk about the far right though as well this is all they have as a talking point the normal far right “Look at their sandwich” or “look he did something slightly bad dont look at our ones caught purposefully ignoring rules”

  3. I’m sure all this came put a year or two ago. Wasn’t it land he owned for the nefarious purpose of rehabilitating abused donkeys to please his ailing elderly mother?

Or is this a different bit of land? Perhaps set aside for giving orphans free cake and balloons while saving the whale?

  4. >”Sir Keir has now had to apologise for not revealing the plot — purchased for his poorly mum to graze donkeys — was held in his name.
    >
    >Sir Keir acquired the land in 1996 when he was a well-heeled lawyer, and claimed he had “gifted” it to his late parents.
    >
    >But his name was on the title deeds — and he is now in the process of flogging it.”

If the rules state that it doesn’t need to be declared unless it is valued as being worth above a certain amount and he only had it valued as he’s selling it was a rule even broken?

I know some parts of the media want to make out that he’s just like the tories but unless I misunderstand it doesn’t sound like he did anything wrong here

  5. Boris and Rishi literally get caught breaking the law? Business as usual!

Kier Starmer owns a field? Real shit!
