Basic-fit’s normal membership is now restricting you to a single club.. opinions? Smells like an anti-consumer move

  1. Especially given the fact that they went from 2M members to 2,9M members in a year (1st semester 2021 and 1st semester 2022)

  2. On top of that it’s 19.99 per 4 weeks (instead of per month) which in the end makes you pay 13 times a year instead of 12. Or has it always been like that?

  3. Ik heb een volledig jaar betaald. Ik heb net een mail gestuurd om te vragen of de originele voorwaarden geldig blijven voor de rest van het jaar.

  4. It kinda is but on the other hand you receive 24/7 access, compared to what most fitness clubs charge for 8-22 access (at best!).. It’s a very double feeling.

On the other hand they’ve added massage sofas included in your membership, so if this is combined with more such nice and fancy perks I wouldn’t particularly mind.

Edit: yeah I had the misconception Basic fit just standard worked with 24/7 (because all clubs in my area are) which is not the case and in that case this is absolute BS.

  5. Is this also for existing members? Because I haven’t received an email or anything about this.

  6. instead of upping the prices, they are just restricting you more. remember when you could freely swap your card with ppl on the same address? not for a long time anymore. they silently removed that part. (not that they can really enforce it, but ok.)

  7. I still have the basic membership that i got in 2019. Yesterday went to a different club than I usually go to without a problem

Edit: it does say that I have a comfort membership. What does that even mean lol
