Ukraine refuses to drop NATO goal or give Russia ‘security guarantee’

  1. The best thing Ukraine could do is to make a new treaty with Russia: Ukraine promises not to join NATO and Russia won’t invade them.

EDIT: Like it or not, but what I said is the only way to peace for Ukraine. The fact is that they are neither a NATO or EU member, nobody will actually send them military aid against Russia, and the sanctions won’t change Putin’s mind. The 2014 conflict was because Ukraine was moving closer to Western nations, and Putin won’t risk that Ukraine becomes a NATO member right next to their border. I’m not saying he’s right or that his actions are justified, but it *is* the reality. A new treaty between Ukraine and Russia would be the only way to prevent bloodshed.

  2. Good. Now NATO has to refuse to drop Ukraine.

Side note: Ukraine should claim Kuban just for the sake of it. Something something protecting historical Ukrainian minority (including the one that was genocided).

  3. From another article:

    >It comes as Russia has picked up its demands on Biden to guarantee that Ukraine will not be allowed to join the NATO alliance.

Why do NATO and the West have to be 100% honest about everything? Why not just lie?

“SuRe, WE prOmISe thAt wE woN’T leT Ukraine IntO NATO.”

    *one year later*

“Yeah, Ukraine’s in NATO now. We had a secret meeting, they’re in immediately.”

  4. I am honestly confused. Can someone please explain to me how the US is “forcing” Russia to invade Ukraine? And who, if anyone, is invading Russia?
