Good 35p an hour is a fucking insult off a company that made what 190 odd billion in profit last year.
Good, that’s long hard boring work. You pay what you have to.
How do you expect Jeffy to pay for his dick rocket if you all keep demanding living wages. /s
How inconsiderate! What if some ww2 veteran has their birthday present, that their grandkids have bought on amazon, delayed??
Thank goodness for brexit so these actions have some clout, rather than just shipping in desperate immigrants who’ll work for peanuts.
Why do people support this *and* support amazon raising prime prices?
About £12 extra per week BEFORE tax
Imagine working in a warehouse where your time is heavily micromanaged, to the point where you have to remain on the floor and piss into plastic water bottles if you want to avoid getting written up or fired for using the bathroom.
And then your employer offers you an “inflation-busting” 35p an hour payrise.
I’d quit on the fucking spot over that.
Highest pay rise in UK
I refuse to buy from Amazon, I haven’t baught anything from them in years. This won’t be changing anytime soon.
35p pay rise.
Sounds typical for amazon.
Yeah shut down the warehouse so nothing gets done.
I hope the other warehouses follow suit.
I work at an FC in the north east. Everybody was hoping for a £1-£2 per hour increase. This is going to make people very unhappy to say the least!
When do we start firebombing these modern day sweatshops? If I can’t heat my house, let’s huddle round the burning remains of this amazon warehouse to keep warm…
Hang on, pay rises are a real thing?
I know this is probably going to cause a backlash, but a 35p an hour pay rise for a non-skilled job role that already pays above minimum wage isn’t too bad.
That said, we are all aware of how much money Amazon make and therefore could pay more anyway
Amazon are greedy fucks. They could literally give them a raise of a grand and make all of it back within an hour. Sadly, i suspect they’ll just sack those who are protesting and replace them with others.
