“Irish” names

  1. I know beating up Americans is popular on /r/Ireland and gatekeeping about irishness here is insane but in this case, have at it.

  2. It’s like names they rejected from Game Of Thrones.

“No, Ser Madysin, stop slaughtering all those villagers in an identical way to the different village slaughtered by Lord Braedyn last season!”

  3. Imagine naming your kid “Immersion” and worse, spelling it incorrectly. Did she do a Google search for “Just Irish things” I wonder?

  4. The name Mackenzie is just vomit inducing as a first name for a girl.

What the fuck, like this is my daughter O’Brien (Obriyinn) or Mackdonyld?

Used of the letter Y, what for? To annoy people and get cross at the then forever for getting your stupid spelling wrong.

  5. This can’t be real. Her name’s Karen, and her brood has the grand slam of godawful knockoff mall store white names? Nah. Somebody’s trolling. Nobody can be this fucking horrible.

I hope anyway. “McKynzy,“ for fuck’s sake. Might as well just buy her the pole for her fifth birthday and get it the fuck over with.

  6. As an American I don’t understand why so many Americans claim to be Irish. People are so prideful on their Irish heritage I guess . I would take it as a compliment though.. although I don’t understand it. I have Irish ancestry but I never have thought to claim to be Irish.

  7. I have American cousins and they name their kids Irish names. Ye ever hear of the name Shalane?

    Because I didn’t.
