It’s often said that suicide is the NHS’s dark secret. I personally have had colleagues take their lives.
No one jumped from them, but we used to have ward staff rooms with balconies several floors up. All the doors leading to the balcony had stickers from the Samaritans and occupational health and I always remember thinking if that would happen in many other workplaces.
