Your bike needs all legal requirements for usage on public streets. Breaks in the front and back, reflectors in the front, back and wheels, front and backlight conform to the StVO and a bell I think. Especially racing bikes and mountain bikes are often sold with neither lights or reflectors and they have to be installed first.
