Why would forcing all drug addicts to stay alone in their house for months at a time lead to reduced access to drugs?
“Ah, I was thinking about picking up £100 of a Class A drug – But I wouldn’t want to break the law by leaving my house so i’ll just quit cold-turkey instead”.
Even a cursory glance at /r/Trees, or even [just “regular” drinkers](https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/news/lockdown-measures-linked-increase-drinking-home) has them all reporting that they smoked and drank more during lockdown, because what else was there to do? Even for people who wanted support in reducing drug usage, where were they meant to go? GPs were shut, as were the vast, vast majority of rehabilitation services.
What percentage of this cocaine was actually cocaine though? I had some the other week and it numbed my entire head
Price of something is coming down then
That’s a lot of deaths. I’m guessing that a good amount of that cocaine was cut with god knows what. Maybe free test kits by request could help lower these numbers?

Parliament shouldn’t have made it legal then.
There were 8,974 alcohol deaths in England last year. And thats if you only count deaths which were a direct consequence of alcohol misuse (liver disease, etc.).
Worse cocaine quality or more people becoming crackheads during the pandemic?
Yet people still say cannabis should be legalised. Studies show time and time again that it’s a gateway drug to cocaine (and other class A drugs) but for some reason Reddit has a weed-boner. Drugs are not okay.

Here’s my white hot take..
The vaccines are *known* to cause side effects on the cardiac/circulatory side in some cases.
Cocaine is known to increase blood pressure/heart rate and constrict blood vessels.
What if some of these people took a normal amount that they’d be otherwise used too, but the underlying side effects from the vax exacerbated the cocaines effect on their body leading to this increase in deaths?
That’ll be reduced in the next year or two as no one in the UK will be able to afford cocaine.
