Scandal at Lidl

Scandal at Lidl from ireland

  1. Lidl is great so I don’t know why anyone would pick the sad faces. The customers at Lidl are a bunch of slow moving cunts who don’t know how to deal with packing shopping and paying at the same time.

  2. I was in the one the other day. The girl had the machine beside the till and was battering the life outta the smiley face in between customers. Pressing it 20/30 times. They must not record the time the button is pressed otherwise it would be very obvious they are faking it.

I used to work retail so I can imagine head office has said they need to get more people leaving feedback. But ofc you can’t force customers to do it, which leads to this sort of thing. We used to fill out fake “Tell Us First” cards in Spar. Otherwise, we would get in trouble. Which is better though? Honest reviews from 5 customers a month or 30 fake ones.

Why can’t they hire 1 person in head office with a brain? It would only take one.

  3. Like Ive never, ever had a negative experience in Lidl, Staff are always lovely and produce is nearly always in stock. I can never press anything but the “Smiliest” smiley face.

however, If they were able to get self service counters I WOULD NEVER GO TO ANY OTHER SHOP. Honestly, It would be incredible. The amount of times I’ve opted over lidl is simply because the queue situation does be slow and It depends if I’m in the humour for waiting around for biddy to pack then pay all the groceries with coppers and butter vouchers.

  4. I regularly see my local Lidl staff, as in the cashiers, chase thieves down & either get the stuff back from them & let them go or hold them till the Gardaí come. Depends on the situation.
That can’t be in their job description can it?
Anyway, they get the smiley green face every time. Love watching a good chase.

  5. My local lidl is great! The staff are sound and actually try and help. Not like my local dunnes to that has about 20 managers yet the lanes are blocked up everytime I go in..

  6. Found one of these today set up beside the staff member on the till, she pushed it three times in the period it took her to scan my shopping. Dunno why she was going through the effort of it, but those things are made to be abused.

  7. Not a biggie to me as overall my experience with them is pretty good, really. Good selection of products, staff is always nice and it’s easy to find what I’m looking for.

  8. If I were analysing this data (I’m a data analyst) I’d just throw out the data. 100% positive feedback is a big red flag. I’d just ignore every bit of feedback from days where there was 0 negative feedback (as well as from the last day with negative feedback).

  9. Honest question: who fucking cares? It’s lidl, you’re not going to get the royal red carpet shopping experience in there. It’s cheap, and the primary reason 99% of people sjop there. I couldn’t give a shit if the smiley face was smoking.
