Then, the other thing is that the numbers on the right are much more volatile because a lot of billionaires have most of their wealth as stock in the company they founded. If Tesla has a good day Elon could add twenty percent to his number and then it would be “top nine”, because the oil fund is only 0.0001% (or whatever) Tesla and wouldn’t notice. Or conversely, of course, if Tesla has a bad day you can add number eleven to the bottom of the right-hand pile.
Several of those people are married, so really should be 20 billionaires (since wealth would be split).
