Has anyone explained the meaning of the word dignity to his Mother?
He died months ago.
Any dignity was lost long ago, especially today considering she made a tiktok of her laying on her dead sons bed with the caption of her being, and I quote, a ‘broke’ mum.
It’s a never-ending grift.
Thanks to his parents, I think the dignity ship sailed long ago for the poor lad, sadly.
I really hope this gets refused – the odds of him dying in transit are high, it’s a huge upheaval for no gain and I can’t help but shake it’s just another stalling tactic and a way to keep the train running. If she’d have done this after the first ruling I’d have more sympathy for the position but I think they’re just latching onto anything they can take to court.
It’s not dignified for him to be moved in this state, it’s not safe and it’s definitely not in his best interests.
One also wonders about the hospice – it’s somewhat telling, to me, that they’ve not been named. I wonder if it’s some weird Christian thing related her to insane backers. If such an offer even exists. Shocking state of affairs, but their lawyers have been known to spread untruths so you can’t really trust anything they say.
Edit: One thing to add I am unclear on – I know not nearly all patients die quickly after cessation of life support, but does Archie have any ability to breathe unassisted? She keeps on about his last days, but surely this is going to be pretty swift post-extubation, and the only thing dragging this out is her now.
This isn’t like stopping feeding or something
How sad for this boy, paraded like an object in front of the media by his mother. There’s no dignity in what she’s doing. It’s really hard to feel any sympathy for her when she makes disgusting comments about the NHS staff who are trying to let this boy die with dignity.
You watch, that woman is gonna become a mouth piece for the far right and we are never gonna hear the end of it. She’s gonna be front and center in criticising the NHS.

Doctor here. Whilst the parents can of course request a hospice bed, these articles fail to take into account what can and can’t be transferred to a hospice. Hospices are not able to care for patients with the kind of support that Archie’s body needs to stay alive, so in order to transfer him to the hospice the support has to be withdrawn while he’s in the ICU. Once the support is withdrawn, he will likely not survive more than a minutes, and therefore transferring him to a side room in the unit is much more kind, respectful and appropriate than having him either die waiting for transfer or while being transferred to hospice.

The whole situation is horrific for the family, but Archie’s needs must always be put first.
The mother needs to shut her yap, step away from social media and be present with her son during his last moments. Can’t believe it’s gotten this far, what a circus.
Always follow the money. Who’s making money out of this situation? The involvement of the ultra dodgy Christian Legal Centre is a major red flag.
I really wish the media would stop using the phrase ‘coma’ to refer to Archie’s condition. He’s braindead, and a judge already ruled that he died on 31st May. A coma is entirely different.
As harsh as it sounds, he’s already dead. He’s been declared brain dead by a doctor. If they try and move him he’ll not likely survive for more than a few minutes once the machines are switched off.
