Humans, the most self entitled animal on the planet. Jezus fucking christ Norway wtf is this?? France can try and relocate a beluga wale but y’all just itching to kill it…
It’s like people forget this is a 600kg wild animal that could absolutely shred/smother you on a whim or accident.
We don’t live in the disney universe.
Relocating is obviously the preferred resolution, but it takes time. While the needless suffering of the animal certainly played a big role, I think time was the most important factor.
It’s not like there’s a “mobile 600kg walrus relocation team” on standby. It would take a while to prepare and the damages would rack up along with the chances that someone actually dies from this.
None of this would have happend if people had used their brains and not thought a walrus was a plaything
Wasn’t she capsizing boats too? Maybe that was part of the decision to euthanize. Either way, still so sad, she was a super cool walrus. Loved reading about her. 🙁
If a dog is wild and attacks a random person they put them down. Even though people were warned about it some people might not read the news and unfortunately when you have a wild aggresive animal during the height of bathing-season it was only responsible for them to either move Frøya or put her down. It is sad but objectively I’m more frustrated that they didn’t do it earlier seeing as how she almost killed children and kept destroying peoples property.
Shame on you NORWAY 😭
It’s like feeding a wild bear. It will keep coming back for food and it will keep going until you or it is dead
If humanity had listened, Freya would still be alive.

Not sure why human life is the priority here. There are fewer walruses plus people dumb.
