  1. What can a military buy for that money? Lunch for it’s soldiers?

Ukraine’s military budget is $4,2 billion.

  2. Wow, it’s fucking nothing. Like a third of a fighter jet, or 1/400th of what we give Poland each year, just to spit us in our faces.

  3. Very generous of EU. They provided 2.6 billion euros to vassal state of Russia (Armenia) to buy Russian equipment and to protect Ukraine just 31 milion Euros.

  4. >“finance military medical units, including field hospitals, engineering, mobility and logistics units, and support on cyber.”

    So basically infrastructure.

They better supervise it themselves or it will porbably it will end up in a tent hospital and someone´s pocket.

  5. One thing I don’t understand is how the Ukrainian arms industry continues to export tanks and weapons around the world while the country keeps getting donations of arms or money from the USA and EU.

  6. It is a symbolic gesture. It’s value doesn’t reside in the amount given, but the willingness to give.

It serves the same purpose as a country sending a single small ship through a contested maritime region, it is a message for those watching.

Geopolitics is a game where looking at the literal monetary value of something means you misunderstood the game completely.

  7. the only thing europe is doing is sucking and oiling up putins dick (buying gas and dealing with the belarussian crazy man) only to stick it in europes ass (ukraine)

  8. Greece received 1 billion to defend itself against the migrant attack. Ukraine gets peanuts to defends itself against the second biggest army in the world.

  9. The only real way to protect Ukraine is to fast-track their membership in to NATO. Instead we’re giving them peanuts while reminding Russia that NATO is not obligated to come to Ukraine’s aid in case of war. Madness.
