It’s not that they are wrong, it’s that the context is bafflingly not taken into account. When Russia declares that the goal of the war is literally destroying Ukraine as a nation, why does it matter if they military is using civilian building for defense? The survival of the whole nation is at stake, you gotta do what you gotta do. And it’s not like the Ukrainian military did something atrocious either.
Also the local Ukrainial branch of AI wasn’t involved in this report at all, which makes it even more baffling.

Amnesty or Greenpeace are pressure groups, filled with angry young people, and they’ve always been that.
They see a cause, they focus on it. Can’t really blame them. They are not supposed to be the arbiters of the general good or the wide picture.
so just because russia commited atrocites this somehow gives the green light to ukraine to do what they do…
