Too many Tories are landlords.
I have a feeling that something might come in to mimic them a few months after, if the bill is passed. Landlords won’t take this lying down and will want to find a way to evict tenants at a moment that is convenient for the landlord.
I’m so glad I live in a country (the Netherlands) where we have very strong renter protection laws. Once you’re in it’s extremely hard for a landlord to get you out before the contract expires. And when you have a contract with no end date it becomes ever harder.
